The world famous laser company Syneron is a pioneer in combining laser and bipolar radio frequency technology to decrease the negative effects of laser treatment by decreasing the amount of laser needed. This technology is called ELOS which stands for Electrooptical Synergy.

Scarring and loose skin occur in the midlayer of the skin, the dermis. That is why the company concentrated on reaching this layer of skin, passing through the epidermis with no damage.

New E-Matrix treatment technology is called Sublative skin rejuvenation and it is base on bipolar radio frequency. Fractional split beams are sent directly to the dermal layer, using no laser at all. This does not cause epidermal disruption but creates high dermal remodeling.

Aging skin is a natural process and can be seen in skin laxity, photo damage, alteration in pigmentation mostly toward hyperpigmentation, the appearance of nasolabial folds, wrinkles around the eyes and on the forehead. The base of these changes is deterioration in skin texture and distraction of skin matrix and the loss of collagen.

Many attempts have been made in the Medical laser industry to create lasers for the renewal of this loose skin without creating burns, infection and most importantly - to shorten healing time. These attempts brought many lasers into the market, but the negative effects and complications decreased the use of these lasers.

Despite the progress in the effects of treatment and the decrease in healing times, lasers like Fraxel still have a prolonged healing time, and the skin remains red and healing can go on for 7 - 14 days. All this happens because the laser hits the most superficial part of the skin, the epidermis. The skin has many chromospheres and particles of color like hemoglobin and melanin. The particles mostly in the superficial skin are hit by the lasers which can cause overheating and in some cases burns. But, when the light is split in to many small rays, almost the entire skin is not affected, making the healing process easier and faster.
