Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance that exists in the human body. In Restylane and Juvederm™ Hyaluronic acid is a gel made of human hyaluronic acid. This means there is no need for allergy testing. Restylane - Juvederm™ use the body’s moisture because they are highly hydrophilic and attract water. The more water that is accepted by the injectable filler, the filler effect lasts longer. The lower part of a patient's face is the target for Restylane and Juvederm™ injections – in the nasolabial folds and lips.

Restylane and Juvederm™ treatments result in a smoother appearance of the face, lip augmentation and acne scars treatment last 6 months. To make the patient comfortable, we numb the area with a 4% lidocaine  ointment which is applied to the treatment area for 10-15 minutes rather than using lidocaine injections.

Every time you come for fillers, we check with you regarding unusual scar formations, like hypertrophic and keloid scars. If you have had keloid scarring after any other operation on any part of the body, it does not mean that you are guaranteed of having keloid scars from injectable fillers on the face.  

We do not recommend Restylane or Juvederm™ injections to patients with a history of anaphylactic reactions, multiple allergic reactions to different medications, pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers.
